Update

Hey all. Here's an update on my grandma. She's been doing pretty good, but today she finally got off the ventilator and she can finally talk. She's also in a wheelchair and has been taken out of ICU and to her own room! Thank you all for your prayers. They have meant so much to me and my family. Hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and have a blessed new year. Later days!

Hey everybody. As some of you know, my grandparents from Colorado came in this week to be with us on Christmas. My grandmother had been complaining of some pains in her arms last night, and this morning she went into the hospital to see what was wrong. She had had a heartattack. I'm not sure of all the details at this point, but I do know she went into cardiac arrest and she had a 50/50 % chance of living. After that, I think she only has a 20% chance. As of now, she's in ICU. Please pray for her, the doctors' wisdom, and my dad and grandpa especially.

SNOW!

Woohoo, what an exciting day today has been! Last night and all this morning we got our sledding groove on. Last night, my dad tied the sled to the back of his truck and we rode around our cove. We did that again this morning, but we also sledded down this big hill (down to the street Bazemore) that had frozen over. It's really fun, but it's better if you have a sled that actually steers! Gosh, mine would not steer very good at first. Ask the lady who was standing there...she watched me drive into the curb and smash into the sewer thing. It hurt like anything. I couldn't really bail, because then my sled would fly out into an intersection, and it was ice, not snow. You'd think I'd learn after that. But no, of course not....this is me we're talking about here. I went down the hill, through the intersection and decided to turn into the nearest cove and stop. Everything went fine until it came time to turn. I turned too late and the sled wouldn't turn sharp enough. I crashed into the curb at a pretty good clip and banged up my knee. I'm just thankful I didn't mess up my head, because I had been laying on the sled at that point, going down head first. But it was fun. Hopefully it'll stick around for a little while. Ok, it may stay, but I ain't, so later days!

Tut, tut, looks like....snow?

It looks like snow, huh? But nope, it's sleet. I wish it was snow. Where I come from, we get snow all the time, but here in Memphis you get snow like, once every 3 million years. Actually, that's not quite true. We got a little bit of snow last February during D-Now. I remember because my whole group got up and looked out the window except me...I stayed in my sleeping bag, doing what I do best...sleeping. I mean, c'mon. It was just snow. I've seen it a million times. Besides, I'd rather sleep than do anything, even eat. Anyways, if it snows, I'm inviting the whole world over to have the bestest snow fight EVER! I'm dead serious here, people. If you live anywhere near me, or even if you don't, come on over. I can assure you I'll be outside, waiting for you with some snowballs. Later days!

Christmas is 4 days away!

Can you believe it? I can't believe another year has come and gone already. I can still hardly believe Michele is home. For some weird reason, the post wouldn't show up last night. Oh well. Well, I have to go to Chemistry class now. Later days!

MICHELE'S HOME!!!!!

Tonight had to have been one of the best nights of my life. I went to the airport tonight and saw Michele!!!!!!! Oh man, I was so excited it was all I could do to keep from jumping around. I felt like screaming I was so happy. I almost started crying on the way home...I was that excited. It was soooooo good to see her. Even now, I feel like I could run a million miles...I'm being fueled by adrenaline. Wow. It's so good to have her back. Ok, well, I'm going now. Later days, and welcome back Michele!!!! :-D

Mouths

It's amazing the good and bad stuff that can come from your mouth. For instance, I played X-box today and beat the boys into the ground. All that screaming is awesome...frustrates your opponent into oblivion. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure my throat is going to be sore tomorrow. But who cares? I whomped Tommy and Jacob my first two games, but then I played Jake again and I got frustrated to the point of going delusional. Have you ever gotten like that? Been so frustrated that you just start laughing and screaming and you can't stop? Really?? Well...um, me neither. :)

In other news, we went to the dentist yesterday (I was quite glad, because I had been having a lot of pain in my back molar), and I pointed out my problem tooth to him. He studied it for a while, and couldn't really figure out what was wrong. I had been fearing the worst (a cavity...had a lot of candy over the Tree week), but he didn't seem too worried. He finally stood up and said, "Let's take you back and numb you up. I think there might be something stuck in there and you're too sore for me to poke around right now, so let's go on back there." UGH. I was shocked. I've never had novacaine before (other than wisdom teeth and I was knocked out cold for that), so it was a little nervewracking. Ok, I'll admit it. I was scared silly. I was shaking so much, I was moving the chair. Now, I probably shouldn't have been nervous. I've been through a lot more pain than a simple shot (ingrown toenails, for example. 8 shots in each toe KILLED!), but I couldn't help it. It was so sudden, I hadn't even prepared myself for it. But our dentist rocks, so I didn't feel a thing. He eventually did find a piece of popcorn wedged between my gum and tooth (so now you know to beware the popcorn). My lip stayed numb though for about 4 hours. I felt like I'd gotten into a fist fight and been popped in the mouth. It was pretty cool...it felt like it should have been blown up 5 inches from my face, but it looked completely normal. So...that's my story of the week. Enjoy, because I doubt there will be any more. Later days.

Stuff

Hmm...first off, what the flip is up with this font?? Tell me...is it really small, or is my computer just being retarded? Tree is almost over! Part of me is glad, but part is sad...I want to be an angel groupie for a long time. Heehee, and I'm also officially a magi groupie as well. I even have the new shirt they made that says, "Who's your magi?". It's quite cool.
Michele will be home next week! I'm so excited. It seems like it's been forever, but it kinda seems like it hasn't been that long. I'll be glad to finally see her though.
I'm not quite sure what's been wrong with me lately...I've been quite 'bah humbug' about Christmas, which is strange, because it usually excites me. Maybe I just haven't gotten into the full swing of everything. But don't get me wrong...I like Christmas, because it was when Jesus was born! I'm just not thrilled about getting presents and all. Oh well.
Soccer will be starting up soon. I'm very excited about this upcoming year. All my buddies are on the team, so we should have a blast and hopefully a pretty good season. I know we have good coaches too (Mr. Dalton and Frank!), so we should be well taught. Ok, I gotta get ready to go to Tree, so later days!

I can fly! Well...I don't, but she does!

Tree is so awesome! We have 3 more performances, and so far things have gone smoothly. If you haven't heard by now, I am an angel groupie with my own guardian angel! lol, after I finish my band thing each night, I rush down to the second floor and join my angel, Anna, in her lil' dressing room before she flies. I watch her fly, wait for her to change again, and then we go downstairs together. Yesterday and Saturday she skipped out early to eat lunch with me. I've had a lot of fun with her this week. She has the most awesome part in the whole Tree. I mean, come on, how many people get to fly across the sanctuary? It's so awesome...she really looks like an angel. She insists she is, but I know her better than that. ;) Just kidding, Skunky! You know I love you.
Band is...um, interesting. Nothing much has happened, other than last night's performance. Somebody's trombone hooked my flute and almost yanked it outta my hands while we were onstage. Mollie said I looked over my shoulder with a look of hatred...that's quite possible, although I don't remember doing it. Well, I must go, but I will leave you with Skunk's words that I'm using the rest of this week because of prison. Later days!

Tonight we start up Tree, so the posts will probably be scarce from here until next week. Anyway, I think I fixed my Wish List, so try this. Later days!

Down for the count

Woohoo, indoor was so awesome last night! After taking a break for a week, getting back into the rhythm of things was awesome. I went out the second half, hungry for blood, and I got it. Unfortunately, it was my own blood. I received the ball, turned to run with it, got slammed in the back, and skidded across the turf. Not only that, when I fell, I lost the ball, and the guy who rammed me (who, by the way, was like 6 foot) had his teammate get it. The teammate ripped the ball as hard as he could (even though the whistle had blown) and it skinned my ear. Not kidding. Had it been any closer to me, I would've probably had a busted nose...he kicked it that hard. So, my team got a free kick because of my blood ravaging effort, and we ended up winning, 7-4. The girl from U of M, Heather Wilson, is very nice and very good (Do you know her Maria?). So everything has worked out good so far. Our games now though are every other week, instead of every week, so I don't have one next week, but the week after. I don't know if I'll go, because it's at 6:30. We'll see. Ok, I gotta go to Tree practice, so later days!

Natalie Portman

This is Natalie Portman on the set of her new movie, "Closer". I just thought since I've put so many pictures of Beckham on here, I might as well put a few of Nat as well. We had Tree practice today. The band is doing more this year than ever before...and we're actually playing!! lol, yeah, it's fun. Well, I've got a splitting headache, so I gotta go, but I'll probably see most of you Sunday night. I have an indoor game (I won't let you forget!) Sunday night too, probably at 8:30, but I'll check just to make sure. Later days!

Fridays are awesome

Friday! Woohoo! I love Fridays...you get to stay up late and sleep in the next morning. It's the greatest. Well, the new controversial movie "Closer" came out today. I don't really want to see it, except that Natalie Portman is in it (she is my favorite actress). I know I won't see it (it's rated R), but still, curiousity has got the best of me, as it always does. Sometimes curiousity is a good thing though. It's a "desire to learn". That's what it says in the dictionary, anyway. Hm, well, I'm rambling, so I should probably stop. I still have no idea what time my indoor game is, but when I find out I will let you know. I'm just a little disappointed though. We've been struggling with having too many girls (you have to have 2 girls on the field at all times, but the guys don't want anymore than that on the field even if it's allowed), and just when we get it all figured out--3 girls, max-- Chad goes and gets some girl from U of M. Poo. We'll see how that goes. I just hope she's good. Ok, later days!

Resistence is futile

Heh, heh, I don't know why I posted that title, but I like it. So how is life? Mine is alright at the present moment. Band is over for good (other than Tree), and while I'm not disappointed entirely, I will miss goofing off....and playing my flute was pretty fun too. Right now, I'm keeping myself amused by occupying ALL my time studying for Chemistry so I'll pass. Geometry is over too...woohoo!! Indoor is starting up as well. That has got to be one of my most favorite hobbies. There is nothing in the world like indoor. Small goals, 6v6, bouncing the ball off the walls to go around people...it's pure heaven. At least for the soccer hooligans of the world (like myself). So, as of right now, my life is going purty good. I laughed myself silly last night, which is always a perk. First, my dad sent me this hilarious commercial thing that I laughed so hard at, my sides hurt (I sent it to you David, via email). As I entered the bathrooom upstairs to get ready for bed, I was greeted by a yell. Tommy was hiding in the bathtub and jumped out, yelling like he was going to murder me. I of course didn't know he was in there and whirled around, screaming at the top of my lungs, and trying to calm my pounding heart (which is probably prone to heart attacks now...thanks, Tom). Did I mention this all happened at about midnight last night? Yes, midnight, and my dad and little sister were already asleep. At least, Leah was. My dad woke up because of my screaming (yes, it was that loud, even with the bathroom door shut). Plus the fact that Tommy and I were cracking up didn't help anything. I don't think I've ever been so surprised in my life. Sure, people have jumped out from behind stuff, but it's only made me flinch, or maybe yell (I RARELY scream), but nothing to ever really scare me. This scared the living daylights outta me. And I let this one rip...just reared back and SCREAMED. Just ask my dad. Ok, well, I'm going, but indoor game this Sunday night! Be there! Later days!
