I love to win

Man, I'm tired. What a day this has been. Had a soccer game this afternoon, then had to go straight to the church to serve at a 70 year wedding aniversary thing. I showered at church for the first time ever...it was......interesting. I had no idea there was even a shower in the church, but hey, you learn something new everyday...including how ridiculous the refs are at church. Today he called a handball on me when I HEADED the ball. How the heck he saw my hand up there, I'll never know. That and when 2 girls were knocking me around, he called nothing, even when he saw them. One girl even knocked me to the ground, and I was spitting sand outta my mouth and he still called nothing. Now when the second girl popped me, then I yelled at him. Ugh. All for the love of the game, I suppose. Oh well...we beat them anyway. :) Ok, I'm done now. Indoor tomorrow night, 9:30. Later days.

Mowing

Man, I hate mowing, but the one fun thing about it...you can shoot stuff at people with your mower! Haha, like we mow this one yard on Walnut Bend and if you get the mower aimed at the street, and run over some of those cockle-bur things, they shoot out at the cars. Or sometimes I try to shoot them at my brothers. That's always fun. But it's no fun when the shoot back at you, like it happened tonight. If you mow along a fence and you hit a bur just right, it shoots out, bounces off the fence, and hits you...pretty dern hard. But it's nothing I can't handle. :) Other than that, mowing's not my most favorite thing to do, but it pays good, so I'll live with it. One thing I'd really like to get though is a pea shooter. Those things are so awesome. I've always wanted one in church, to shoot at unsuspecting victims. Ooh, ooh, and I want something I didn't even knew existed...a marshmallow shooter!! My chemistry teacher told us about some that shoot mini marshmallows really good. And potato shooters that you put up on your shoulder like a bazooka. If I could take one of those to band... :) Those all would be really cool to have. I might try to make some...the pea shooter would be easy, and I bet I could figure the others out. Add 'em to my slingshot, and I'd have the best weapons collection ever! I really do have a big slingshot, which I love. When we went to Colorado a few years ago, I used it to shoot at a bull that was next door to my grandparents house. That was great. Ok, nothing more for me. Later days....

Stuff...

Yay! Dude, I just finished the hardest crossword puzzle ever. This Beckham crossword search took me an hour, then I had to go to band (which I'm not going to comment on today...I'm just not gonna go there), came back and finished it. It was hard, but fun. All the words are related to Becks in one way or another, so that made it fun.

The Fall "Festibal", as my little sister calls it, is tonight. Yummy, candy. I'll see how much I can make off with...I mean, uh...I would never do that. ;) Leah is so cute. She's dressed up as Dorthy from the Wizard of Oz. She's been so excited about the festival, that she's been coming into my parents room at like 7:00 AM for the past 2 mornings, saying "It's time to get ready for the Fall Festibal!" It's funny. I taught her all these lines to say so she can get more candy (to share with me! lol). Ok, well, I'm off, but we have a soccer game this Saturday at 12:30. Woohoo! Later days.

Soccer

Well, our game went good last night. We won, 12-3. We have another game this Saturday at 12:30, I think. I'm not worried about it though. I don't want to sound cocky, cuz I'm not, but I'm almost 100% positive we're going to win. We're undefeated. We beat our biggest challenger, so if we can beat them, we're more than likely to beat everyone else. Don't get me wrong...I have NOTHING against winning, but a loss wouldn't be the end of the world. We have another indoor game this Sunday at 9:30 PM, but I don't know if I'll be playing or not. Weelll...I've got nothing more to say. All for now. Later days...

Eyes or Ears?

Ok, well, here's something I've given much thought. If given the choice, and you had to pick one or the other, would you rather be blind or deaf? And why?

(Soccer game, 5:30, tonight!) Peathe out...........

.........

"Band is stinky, band is poo. I don't like band. How about you?"

Sorry guys, but I don't know how much more of it I can take. The only good thing that happened was Mr. Carter came today. Other than that...pray I never get a sniper (or any other firearm or anything that can bodily injure a person), cuz E--, uh, somebody might get hurt. :) Ok, I wouldn't go that far, but I'm kinda scared to see just how irritated I might become. For those of you who don't know, I have a pretty short fuse, and if I get aggravated to the point of blowing up, I may do just that. So.......I guess I just need a lot of prayer and encouragement. Only a few more weeks or so, then I can kiss it goodbye. *smack* GOODBYE!!!

Update

Well, the game was great. We won, 7-3, but it was quite a different game from last week. We almost had a fight (it was sooooooo funny. Maybe I have a twisted sense of humor, but I thought it was very funny!), and we had some amateur actors out there on the other team. A couple of falls....dude, they could've won 3 Emmy's for 'em. lol, I'm just kidding, although they were quite a feisty team tonight. One girl was booty-bopping half of us, and staying up on our goalie, who couldn't push her off him, and if he didn't push her off, she'd score on us. It was really funny. Plus, we had our own group cheerleaders, consisting of my dad, Emily's dad, and Frank, banging on the little window every time we scored. It annoyed the snot out of the other team, which added to my enjoyment. Ok, well, I'm tired, but I have an outdoor game this Tuesday at 5:30 on field 4 if you wanna come. Later days!!

Indoor again

Woohoo, indoor game tonight. I'll update after the game and let you know what all happened. Pray for me, I'm a little nervous. So until then...later days!

Band

Wow. Today was a lonnnnngggg day. I played at the Baptist Children's Home today with the band, and it was really fun. I think I laughed more than I played. We performed our field show, then hung around a little afterwards listening to the other groups, and I got my face painted! Woohoo! Even better, my flute played very well since it's now un-bust-i-cated (that means it's not broken anymore). Double woohoo! After we played there, we went to the Liberty Bowl to watch some band competition (I'm not sure of the exact name). That was fun, but the bus ride over there was more fun. I quoted lines from Napoleon Dynamite with David, and he was making me laugh so hard I was crying. We came home after that, so I didn't get home until about 8:15 or so. Today has been a long, but very entertaining day. Whew. Glad to be home though. Oh yeah...I didn't have a Mountain Dew all day today!! Go me!! lol, I didn't have any headaches today, but if I don't have any Dew tomorrow, that's when the migranes'll prolly start kickin' in, and I don't think I'll be able to take it. We'll see though. Maybe I can be strong...hmm...then again, maybe not. Anyways, nothing more for me, but if you love me, you'll come to my indoor soccer game tomorrow night! Wooohooooo!! See ya then! Later days....

Check it..

Not much to say. Regular soccer game on Tuesday, October 26th, 5:30 PM, field 4. More importantly, indoor game this Sunday, the 24th at Dulin's, 8:30 PM. Be there or be square...or you might as well be a softball player....

Welcome to My Life

Do you ever feel like breaking down? Do you ever feel out of place, Like some how you just don’t belong, And no one understands you? Do you ever want to run away? Do you lock yourself in your room? With the radio on turned up so loud, That no one hears you screaming? No, you don’t know what it’s like, When nothing feels alright, You don’t know what it’s like, To be like me! To be hurt, to feel lost, To be left out in the dark, To be kicked, when you’re down, To feel like you’ve been pushed around, To be on the edge of breaking down, When no one’s there to save you, No you don’t know what it’s like, Welcome to my life Do you want to be somebody else? Are you sick of feeling so left out? Are you desperate to find something more, Before your life is over? Are you stuck inside a world you hate? Are you sick of everyone around? With the big fake smiles and stupid lies, While deep inside you’re bleeding? No you don’t know what it’s like, When nothing feels alright, You don’t know what it’s like, To be like me! To be hurt, to feel lost, To be left out in the dark, To be kicked, when you’re down, To feel like you’ve been pushed around, To be on the edge of breaking down, When no one’s there to save you, No you don’t know what it’s like, Welcome to my life No one ever lies straight to your face! No one ever stabs you in the back! You might think I’m happy, But I’m not gonna be okay! Everybody always gave you what you wanted! You never had to work, it was always there! You don’t know what it’s like (what it’s like)… To be hurt, to feel lost, To be left out in the dark, To be kicked, when you’re down, To feel like you’ve been pushed around, To be on the edge of breaking down, When no one’s there to save you, No you don’t know what it’s like, To be hurt, to feel lost, To be left out in the dark, To be kicked, when you’re down, To feel like you’ve been pushed around, To be on the edge of breaking down, When no one’s there to save you, No you don’t know what it’s like, Welcome to my life Welcome to my life! Welcome to my life!

Hurricane Elvis, Jr.

Not much happened today, although I got to sleep in. That was nice. The storm last night was retarded. I'm usually too lazy to get out of bed and make sure there's no tornado coming (I just plug one ear and try to go back to sleep), but the lightning was so close last night the thunder was rattling my window. That seemed like a bit of a warning, so I got up, went downstairs and watched the weather. Of course, once I get out of my nice warm bed, the lightning calms down and we go back upstairs. Curses to storms. They have something against me, and I always have something against them because they wake me up and ruin soccer practices.
Something else quite weird happened today though. I had a major headache in the honor society meeting, and now I've got this uncomfortable tightening in my chest. I think it's probably just something I ate, but if it keeps it up, I'm going to the doctor. Maybe he can explain the off/on pain I've had in my left shoulder. Ok, I'm rambling because I'm bored, but why should I subject you to my torture? That would be unfair, so all for now. Later days.

Indoor

Whoa. I played my first ever indoor soccer game last night and it was amazing!! There are no words to acurately describe how cool it was. I've been playing soccer since I was 4 years old, and nothing I've ever done compared to last night. The game was so fast moving. There weren't any real positions (everyone played everywhere) and nobody told me the rules. I just got thrown out there and it started. Of course, we played the team that we had a bad experience last season, but it was ok. It was so fun. The guys I play with are AWESOME!! My competitive soccer coach played, and his brother, and some other guys, including Chad Reynolds (who is awesome). Anyways, yeah, it was great. Nothing like outdoor soccer...it's way better. Our games are always on Sundays, and this next week it's @ 8:30 at Dulin's. Ok, well, nothing else happened today except school and band, and nothing exciting happened. So all for me. Later days!!

Boo-ya!!

Wow. What a day. Today seemed like the longest day of my entire life. This morning my mom and I went to the Impact center for the food pantry thingy and it was awesome. God is truly amazing. I was nervous, because I don't like to get out of my comfort zone, but I did it for Him and He blessed me by letting me have a lot of fun and realizing how much I'm blessed and how much I really have. If you haven't been before, I really encourage you to go.
Secondly, my soccer game was awesome!! Right after I got finished at the Impact center (9:00-12:00), I went straight to my soccer game, which was at 12:30. We won--no, pulverized--the other team, winning 14-4. At least, we're pretty sure that's what it was...the ref stopped counting after 9. :) I'm not trying to brag here, but I'm very proud of my team...
And, as if all that wasn't enough, 2 of my teammates, my coach, and I went out to lunch then Super-Target, Hallmark (to see a friend), then back to the soccer fields to play some more to celebrate our victory. We left the fields at about 3:00, and we didn't leave the second time until like, 6:45. We played 2v2, layed out and found a cloud that looked like the country, lol, and rolled me around the field (I pulled my legs into my jacket to keep warm, and my coach started to roll me around like a ball, since I couldn't pull my legs out or sit up). So it was really, really fun, but I am BUSHED! So that's all for me, but if you want to come watch me play my first indoor soccer game, it's tomorrow night @ 8:30 at Dulin's (by Bogey's). Later days!

*deep sigh*

I think I'm in love...lol ;) Posted by Hello

Wal*Mart

I hate Wal-Mart. Better yet, I hate grocery shopping, especially when you're in a hurry. I had to go to 3 different stores today, Wal-Mart being one of them, and it took forever. I flew through the other 2 stores, but when I got to the checkout at Wal-Mart...ah, that's when the trouble began. Everything was going bueno, then I had half a dozen Kool-Aid packets I had to scan, and the U-scan thingy wouldn't accept it. It kept telling me to remove the item and try again. So I tried again...and again...and again, all while my line became the longest and I died a thousand deaths. I was about ready to give up and toss the Kool-Aid, when the teenage girl behind me stepped in. She was like, "It's because it's Kool-Aid. It's too light. I hate this thing." With that, she took a box of gum and set it on the weight reader thingy, stating, "This is what I always do." And sure enough, it worked. I finished checking out my stuff, feeling very, very warm (was it me, or do they turn off the AC in there?), and got the heck out of there, only to almost get in an accident turning onto Germantown. I don't think I'll go shopping for a while until I run out of Mountain Dew.

No words

(Update) God is so good. It seems like everytime I feel terrible about anything, He always sends something or someone my way to cheer me up. Take today for example...I was in the most depressed mood after I got out of Chemistry class, completely dreading band, then who happens to be there but my favorite person in the whole wide world. And she always cheers me up. So although the day started not so good, God knew what He was doing and all ended well. It's amazing to me how some people just shine with Jesus. They're always smiling and always happy...and she always cheers me up and makes me laugh. :) All for now. Later days!

Too depressed for words.......

"This Little Piggy Went....Where?!?!?"

My little sister never ceases to amaze me. She has been cracking me up all day. Earlier, she was popping balloons with a pen, but her face...she'd raise the pen, then bring it down like a knife killing somebody like a scene from "Psycho" or something. Then she was quoting all these lines from movies (she knows almost all of Parent Trap by heart) and she has a different accent and face for each character. But by far the funniest thing she did was doing her own dance moves for me. I was rolling off the bed laughing. She does her own things, and I taught her some new stuff. It's better than her Thriller moves. As if that's not enough, I did the "This Little Piggy Went to Market" with her toes, then she wanted to do mine. She got past the first toe when she forgot the other parts, so she began to make up her own like, "This little piggy...um, she went shopping. And this little piggy went to sleep and had a bad dream. And this little piggy...well, she ate a sandwich..." And so on. She is the most hilarious thing ever. I'll admit it...I get frustrated with her sometimes, but she's a hoot and keeps me laughing. All for now. Later days!!

P.S. Soccer game on Saturday @ 12:30!! Come watch us win!!!!! :)

Touchdown!!!

Wow, there's nothing in the world like playin' backyard football. Especially standing on the sidelines, having the other team realize they need another player, and being called on to the field. It's really funny too when the boys are like, "a girl?!?!" and then somebody's like "She's good! She's good! Let her play!!" So I got to play. This little bitty dude tried to take me out, but I just carried him a good 5 yards. It was so funny. He was about half my size, and he'd grab Tommy and me around the waist, but it did no good. We just carried him along. It was pretty funny. I didn't really get tackled that much (cuz I'm good like that), but the few times I did, it kinda hurt. Nothin' I can't handle though...just smarted a little. Especially wet grass...ugh, stings like the devil. Anyway, that's all for me now, and I prolly won't be there Sunday night (sorry Ria...I really wanted to see you), so I'll see some of you probably Monday (hey Maria, you could come then! :D). Later days!

Random Question

Haha, ok, here's something that can be random, retarded, or cheesy. Your choice...

If the energizer bunny were to hit somebody, would he be charged with battery?

It's me!

hey, for those of you bored (like myself), you can click here to view a slide show of my soccer team playing another team. Just click any picture to begin the slide show. We're wearing green and I'm number 7 (like Beckham :)).

update for today

Uhh...I don't want to sound pessimistic or make Maria sad....but band wasn't as fun today as it was Monday. In fact, it was downright dull...and retarded. But, on the upside, I got shotgun in David's Jeep!! Oh yeah...it was sweetness. Ok, well, I have nothing more interesting to say, except poo, no soccer game on Saturday, other than my little brother's, so if you want to see him play, come on down. His game is @ 8:00 AM on the Gold field. Later days!

Becks # 7

Isn't he adorable?? Posted by Hello

happy...

I'm so happy today because I have no Chemistry today!!! YIPPEE!!! Haha, anyway, yesterday wasn't too bad. There's nothing better than text messaging in Geometry...lol. :)
My nose has been really, really bothering me lately, and I couldn't figure out why, until I got to thinking about band on Monday. Not only did I fall, but after band, Tommy, Jacob and I ran to the van and tried to hurry and get in before half the band joined us, and as I got in, I was still hanging half out, but I tried to shut the door partway and ended up slamming the bridge of my nose on the door frame. It smarted so bad it brought tears to my eyes, but with the munchkins still hot on our trail, there was nothing I could do but suck it up and lock the door. Hopefully band today will involve no injuries...but it's band, so you never know. I'll update later after band is over. Later days!

Bathroom break!!!

Haha, practice last night was so funny! Frank (my coach) sent us off to center field to stretch, and while we were, somebody mentioned that they had to go to the bathroom. So we decided that we'd run a lap, then run right off the field to the bathroom. Which is exactly what we did. Frank and my dad were running in front of us, with their backs turned, and when they kept running, we ran right off the field- single file- to the bathroom. Frank didn't notice until we were almost inside the bathroom, at which he began to yell at us to come back and keep running. It's a good thing guys aren't allowed in the girls bathroom, or we might have had to keep running. Anyway, after everybody used the toilet, we ran back out--single file-- and back onto the field, where we finished our laps. Although our little shenanigan got us punishment (foward and reverse suicides), we all agreed it was worth it. Ok, before I go, I have to post these Christian pick-up lines I learned at practice...

"Heyyy...nice Bible."
"I can't speak in tongues, but I can kiss like it."
"You have a friend named Jesus?? Me too!!!"

Monday, October 04, 2004

ah, maybe band ain't so bad...

Wow, band was actually quite hilarious today. And yay for me, I got 20 pushups!! But Jordan beat me...he got a total of 65 pushups, and boy, was it funny. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard at attention. It was one of those you-had-to-be-there things. Yeah, the drum majors got kinda slap happy with the pushups today, but it was ok. We were all laughing. And that's not even the best part!! Someone had left a soccer ball down in the net (cuz we were on the soccer field, as usual) and so Tommy, Jacob, Jordan, and I started playing around with it (we were the 1st ones down there). Evan got there and he wanted to shoot, so I got in goal. If I blocked it, he was to get 30 pushups...I blocked it. Unfortunately, we didn't make him do them (cuz we're nice that way) and kept on playing. Tommy got it and punted it, while Jordan and I raced for it. We ran halfway across the field for the ball and Jordan got it first. As I ran to catch him, my foot hit his, I tripped, and totally wiped out in front of the entire band. I mean, this was sliding into home base type fall....sliding half a mile on the grass, and nearly ripping holes in the knees of my jeans. My knees were all green and my stomach was all red and stung for a long time after that. It's really hard to stand at attention while your stomach feels like it's being scratched with knives...or something of the sort. Anyways, yeah, my knee already had a bruise from my soccer game (courtesy of Lizzy), so now it's worse. It's been surprising to look at my legs lately, because all these bruises are popping up everywhere....ah the price of sweet victory. :) Anyways, I'm starting to ramble, but pray for me, cuz tomorrow night I'm trying out for a competitive soccer team and I'm a bit nervous. We don't want a repeat of last year. Later days!

Saturday, October 02, 2004

ole, ole, ole, ole!!!!!

Well, we had our first game today, and we tasted sweet victory, winning 5-4. It was great!! It was a lot of fun, and it wasn't too hot, which was nice. My next game is October 16, 12:30 on Bellevue field 4.
I finally got rid of a nasty cold today. It was the first day I woke up without having to blow my nose. I think that's the worst thing about colds; when I blow my nose, it feels like I'm about to blow out an eyeball or have an aneurysm...I'll let you know which one comes first. All for me now. Later days!

hairstyle

I'm thinking about cutting my hair so I can do the Beckham double ponytail. It'd be for soccer only, probably, but who knows where you'd start seeing "Becks" hairdo...You think I could pass for Beckham?

soccer game update

For those of you wondering, our soccer game time was changed from 2:00 to 4:30 at Bellevue on the back field by the highway. Our soccer practice the other night was sooooo cool. We scrimmaged the entire time and we all had a blast. Plus the fact that my team won didn't hurt any. Tomorrow should be fun too. Hopefully it won't be too hot. I'm hoping to convince my coach that if we win, he can take us out to ice cream. I'm crossing my fingers that it'll work. Which reminds me, Maria, I have to tell you something, so remind me the next time I see you. And I'm glad you and David enjoyed my band poem remix... :) All for now. Later days...
